![]() ![]() ![]() So my advise for these who wants to use V-Sync disable it in the game but enable it in driver's settings. I noticed that if VSync is enabled the game drops fps even if it's below refresh rate. And it loses about 15% of performance just by selecting a unit only for animated portrait. I've no idea what the problems with DX12 so the engine which worked good on any 4 cores CPU in AoW Planetfall degraded to "not acceptable for release" condition but the fact is fact the game drastically loses performance with the increasing of the unit number in the battle. Some work great but examples like Serious Sam 4 which is playable only in DX11 or next Gen Witcher 3 version which could not load even my RTX 3060 on release and took month to fix that exist too. But in fact it's not the 1st game which have serious performance problems in DX12. So I expect no perfomance increase on 8 cores CPUs and predict serious troubles on 4 cores CPU despite DirectX 12 which as promised should decrease CPU usage compred to DX11. From my measurment on Ryzen 5 3600X CPU turned in pure 6 core mode (SMT disabled) I noticed that the game mostly utilizes 2 cores other 4 are loaded on 50-60% on strategic map but I expect that that on combat maps situation the same because it's obviously some graphic engine stall. ![]()
